HARD WORK PAYS OFF!
Week of March 25th
Good Afternoon Smith Parents/Guardians,
This week I have a couple of very important announcements to start with:
1. Registration for 2024-25 school year is currently going on. Please click the registration flyer below to go to www.killeenisd.org/enroll to enroll your Leopard for next school year. There is a definite deadline this year (April 9th), after that time any student not registered will be dropped from the system for 2024-25. At this point we have had 40% of our current students enrolled.
2. Roy J. Smith Family Survey - click the link below to take a short survey, your input is important to us. Click Here
2. Thank you to everyone for your patience and flexibility as we have had to reschedule our Academic Awards night for Tuesday, April 9th. Our previously scheduled night interfered with other events and we want all of our Leopards who have earned this award to be recognized. If your student has qualified for this award you should have received a call Friday evening with an accompanying email.
Congratulations to our Leopards and UIL Coaches on receiving 3rd place overall at this years KISD Academic UIL competition!! Our Leopards have worked hard all year preparing for this event and really showed out on Saturday. We are very proud of our Leopards that participated!!

Required Shots for Next Year 7th Graders
Parents/Guardians of Upcoming 7th grade students:
This is a reminder to get your future 7th grader vaccinated to help prevent the busy back to school rush. This is to include any other vaccines that are reported as missing during the year. State law requires one dose of the meningococcal vaccine (MCV4) and one dose of the tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis(TDAP) for your student to start and/or enroll in school. Please take care of this as soon as possible as clinics tend to run out of doses as it gets closer to the start of school. If you have any questions or are not sure if your student is up to date, please call the clinic at 254-336-1074 or 1075. Thanks!
Volunteers Needed
If you are interested in volunteering or have questions about please email Ms. Callegari at monika.callegari@killeenisd.org.
