Principal's Message

Hello Pacific Drive Families!

I'm so proud of our Pacific Drive students, staff and families for successfully making it through the first week of school! I was thrilled to see smiling students all week long and our teachers worked incredibly hard to make the first week of school a fun and engaging time for all. Some highlights were some wonderful donations from Raytheon, a company local to Fullerton, who donated school supplies, backpacks, emergency supplies and more! We held PBIS rotations this week as well, so our Pacific Drive students can have the opportunity to learn about rules and expectations around our campus, and what the "Dolphin Way" means here at Pacific Drive. I have also seen every teacher here at Pacific Drive greeting students at the door in the morning. We feel this is an important part of our students' day, and our teachers are doing an amazing job of recognizing the special qualities each and every one of our students bring to school every day!

A few friendly reminders for everyone after the first week:

- Student breakfast is served daily between 7:45 and 8:00 am. Our goal is to have students eat during this time so they can finish and be on time for class that starts at 8:15 am.

- Please be mindful of the parking lot signs along the pickup area. We strive to keep our students as safe a possible during arrival and pickup times, so staying in your vehicle and pulling all the way forward in the pickup line before loading or unloading keeps the line of vehicles from backing up into the street.

- Parking spots in the parking lot should be reserved for staff during arrival and dismissal times. If you have a handicap parking sticker or placard, you are more than welcome to pull into the lot and use the designated blue parking stalls.

Lastly, our annual Back to School Night will take place this coming Thursday, August 21st. PTA will be selling food and refreshments starting at 4:30 pm. Teacher introductions will occur at 5:45 and classroom visitations will start at 6:00. There will be two 25 minute sessions per classroom, from 6:00 to 6:25 pm and 6:30 to 6:55 pm. Classrooms will close for the evening at 7:00 pm. We hope to see you there!
