Hines Mission and Vision

Mission: At Hines Elementary, it is our unwavering commitment to establish a safe and inclusive learning environment. Our students will feel loved, supported, and find joy in learning. ❤️

Vision: At Hines Elementary, we are committed to cultivating a vibrant and dynamic learning environment that ignites curiosity, fosters creativity, and celebrates student achievements. We are dedicated to providing opportunities for critical thinking that are essential for academic success and positive character growth. Through collaboration with families and the wider community, we strive to empower our students to reach their full potential and become responsible, compassionate, and engaged citizens.

A Note from Mrs. Mathe

Today was National Wear Your College Colors Day, and we saw a wonderful array of universities represented! It was exciting to see our future college students already engaging in some friendly rivalries. Many of our students were representing their parents' or grandparents' alma maters, and they would have made you proud, showing their pride for "their school!"

We've had another incredible week of learning here at Hines! Our administrative team had the opportunity to visit classrooms across all grade levels, and we were truly impressed by the warm, engaging, and fun learning environments our Hines teachers have created for your children. In CISD, we prioritize providing students with a safe space to learn, and our teachers’ classrooms exemplify just that.

Safety Reminder for Afternoon Dismissal-

For the safety of all our Huskies, please do not pull up along Lexington in your car to pick up your child during afternoon dismissal. If your child is designated as a walker or biker, they should walk or bike home as intended.

When cars pull up along the curb to pick up students, it not only creates traffic congestion but also makes it difficult for our staff to confirm that students are leaving with the correct adult.

Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe and smooth for everyone!

Overview of School Discipline

The Texas Education Agency has recently updated state laws related to school discipline for the 2025–2026 school year. These changes affect areas such as suspensions, removals from class, and parent notification requirements. Our school will continue to follow all updated guidelines to ensure student safety and learning.

👉 Click here to read the full overview of the updates

Senate Bill 10

The State of Texas passed Senate Bill 10 that requires the posting of the 10 Commandments in all classrooms. Even though lawsuits have been filed regarding the posting and an injunction has been issued for specific school districts we are required by law to post them. As of September 2, our classrooms will comply with law and have the 10 Commandments posted in all classrooms. We understand that this is a controversial topic for many. Please know that the teacher, school and district have no opinion on this topic. It is a law passed by the Texas 89th Legislature and signed by the Governor and we are required to comply. Thank you for your understanding.

Introducing SEPAC – A New Parent Advisory Group for Special Education

We’re excited to introduce the Conroe ISD Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC), a new parent-led group created in collaboration with the CISD Special Education Department. SEPAC is here to connect, support, and empower families of students with IEPs or 504s. SEPAC is focused on building stronger partnerships between families and our district's special education services.
