Weekly Family Communication
Principal's Message
Dear Holy Rosary Families,
We enter Catholic Schools week next week, a time that we celebrate the great gift of a Catholic education. Catholic education aims to form the whole person – that includes preparation for professional life, formation of ethical and social awareness, developing awareness of the transcendental, and religious education. During the time of Catholic Schools Week, we give thanks for the great gift that is Catholic education and for our wonderful Holy Rosary families who support us! Please pay attention to the schedule of events in this week's eFC for CSW next week.
We will start the celebration tomorrow night with Gator Bowl, a community event that raises funds for the Father Mallahan Endowment Fund. Thank you to the Procopio and Kuhlmann families for chairing the event, and for their entire team involved in making it a success. We will move into our celebratory Open House on Sunday following the 10:30 Mass and all families are invited to attend. This Open House is both an admissions event and a celebration of our school. We also encourage families to attend a Mass this weekend and to bring your students in uniform as representatives of our school community. Next Friday night the Fulcrum Foundation's annual Gala, the Celebration of Light ,will raise money to support Catholic schools throughout the Archdiocese. Our school has received tuition assistance and building improvement grants over the years from the Fulcrum Foundation and we are incredibly grateful for all the Fulcrum Foundation does to support all of our Catholic Schools. Please take a look at the tremendous work of the Fulcrum Foundation and consider supporting their efforts, as they ensure the gift of Catholic education remains accessible to all who desire it.
Finally, don't forget to send a shovel or small garden tool to school tomorrow if you have one, as our whole school will plant primroses in preparation for Catholic Schools Week. It'll be a great week! Go Seahawks!
In Christ,
Anna
Counselor's Message
Quick recap from our t K–2 counseling lessons last week! Students enjoyed reading The Magical Yet as we talked about noticing frustration and recognizing how it shows up in our bodies (such as tight muscles, fast breathing, or a worried feeling). Students learned that these body signals are important clues that help us know when we need to pause and use a coping strategy. It's ok if we don't know things..YET!, but with hard work, resilience, and sometimes support, we can learn and grow!
We also practiced progressive relaxation, a simple technique that helps children calm their bodies by tightening and then relaxing different muscle groups. This tool supports emotional regulation, focus, and confidence when big feelings arise.
We are proud of the thoughtful way students engaged in learning skills they can use both at school and at home.
Looking ahead...The next two weeks will be focused on our 3rd-5th graders. Students practiced identifying personal triggers and noticing how frustration shows up in their bodies, common actions that result from this, as well as ways to manage this effectively.
Thank you all for your continued support!
Kelly Dobelstein
Faith At Home
This week, we invite families to reflect on how small acts of love at home—patience in moments of stress, listening with full attention, and choosing forgiveness—become powerful ways of living out our faith. These everyday choices, often unseen, shape the culture of our homes and reflect Christ’s love to those closest to us.
As we move through the liturgical season, may we continue to place Christ at the center of our homes through simple prayer, shared meals, and acts of service. In doing so, we strengthen our families and grow together as witnesses of faith, hope, and love.

Inclement Weather Information
This week's big storm is a reminder that we can sometimes have weather that will necessitate closing school or starting late. In case of a need to close school or have a late start due to the weather, we will notify families as early as possible. Keep an eye on the West Seattle Blog, Facebook, and on our website. We will also send an email to all families notifying you of any closures or late starts. If we start late, there will be no AM BASE, and if we close due to snow, there will be no BASE care on campus during the closure.

Auction
Invitations will go home next week. Tables of 10 and individual tickets will be available for purchase.
Hello Holy Rosary Families,
As you know our Annual Auction is just around the corner on March 7, 2026 and we hope to see you there! An important part of the auction is the Dessert Dash and we are looking for several volunteers to donate a dessert. If you are not able to attend the Auction, but still want to participate, this is a great way to support the school. Bakery purchased desserts count as 2 volunteer hours.
The dessert should feed about 8-10 people and be a nice dessert from a bakery like Bakery Nouveau, Ala Mode Pie, Trophy Cupcakes, Treat Cookies, Metropolitan Market etc. We also LOVE all the creative bakers in our community and appreciate homemade desserts as well! If you are making a homemade dessert, you can earn volunteer hours for the time it takes to purchase ingredients and prepare the dessert.
Please sign up and help us have a FUN AND DELECTABLE DESSERT DASH!!
