Kami: Annotation, Collaboration & Integration, Oh my!
In short, it's an online PDF, Doc or image annotation & manipulation tool. You can make Kami assignments by using (or altering) one from the Kami library or making one from scratch. With Kami, students can:
- Highlight, underline & strikethrough
- Add text (even through voice typing)
- Have things read to them with text-to-speech
- Attach shapes, images & video
- Collaborate virtually
With Kami you can:
- See your students work in real-time, giving live and meaningful feedback & supervising them to stay on task
- Help struggling students
- Give students a paper copy of something and have them work on it without you digitzing
- Create a dynamic assignment out of a static image using OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
- Create something in Canva and then share directly to students to manipulate
- Conquer PDF manipulation once & for all
- Host a digital whiteboard that student groups can use to collaborate in person or virtually
- Split or rearrange the order of a multi-page PDF
- Use a digital notebook with studentsGive students a static resource, but still allow them to annotate and add content that gives the assignment more meaning
