Good afternoon DKMS families! It has been a very busy week for us here in the middle school.

A serious incident occurred this week and I wanted to say that here at Delton Kellogg Schools, our number one priority is keeping everyone safe. We will continue to encourage students to report issues they see or hear to an adult as soon as possible. This includes issues with other students, bullying, threats, or other behaviors that do not meet the school's code of conduct. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the middle school at (269) 623-1541 or the district office at (269) 623-1501 if you ever have questions or concerns.

I want to thank Mrs. Lebeck and our student council for their hard work in creating a fantastic Holiday Spirit Week. Students dressed up, had hallway holiday band concerts, and went caroling in the building. Thank you all for spreading some holiday cheer!

In our sports update, wrestling and girls 6th, 7th, and 8th grade basketball will start when we return from winter break. If your child plans on joining either of these sports, please make sure they have current physical on file with the high school athletic office. Also, I wanted to give one more congratulations to our girls competitive cheer team and boys basketball teams for their outstanding seasons. Great job representing the Panthers this season!

Finally, I would like to wish all of our staff, students, families, and community a happy holiday! I hope that everyone enjoys their time together over the next two weeks. Please relax, have fun, and rest up for our second part of the year. Have a great break and see everyone back at school on Monday January 8th, 2024.

Just can't hide that PANTHER PRIDE!

Thank you,

Principal
