Patriot Family Gazette 8/30/24

Patriot Families,

Thanks for a great week! The 34th Annual Pantry Raid to support the East Texas Food Bank continues next week! We will be collecting cans until Friday, September 6th. Patriot dad's, mark your calendars for September 5th, as we will host our 3rd Annual Watch DOG Pizza Night. This is an opportunity to learn about our Watch DOG program and meet other Patriot dad's as well, the event is from 5-6pm. Please see the link's below in the newsletter to RSVP!

If you have not joined our wonderful PTA, you can do so by clicking on this link: www.joinpta.org. Last year we had the highest number of members in Tyler ISD with over 500 members and we have almost already surpasses our August goals.

NOTE: As temperatures continue to remain high, we will be limiting recess time or even do our recess indoors. We will follow the regulations of Tyler ISD. If you can, please make sure your child has a water bottle so they do not overheat.

Don't forget, we will have no school on Monday, September 2nd. School will resume on Tuesday, September 3rd.

Have a great 3 day weekend!

Brett Shelby

- Please drop off by 7:50. Our tardy bell rings at that time and we want our Patriots ready to learn with us.

- We cannot release kids after 2:45 due to dismissal procedures. If you have appointments, please make arrangements to pick up by this time.

- If you are dropping off before 7:15, please use the back loop. This area is staffed and students are directed to the cafe or gym. After 7:15, our front loop will be open.

We are pleased to announce that we are already hitting goals with our PTA enrollment! What a great way to start the year. Remember, it's not an obligation of time, it's a donation that can help our programming on our campus. Please use the link below to join as soon as possible. Go to the website here to join now! www.joinpta.org

Sharpen the Saw Club is one of our favorite activities that we do for our Leaders here at Jack! This is a chance for our students to explore passions and participate in clubs outside of the regular curriculum that happens day to day. We meet 6-7 times a year and some of the clubs are really creative! We've had pickle ball, golf, LEGOS, robotics and more! Mr. Malone is looking to host a Vintage Gaming Club this year and is looking for donations of "old working TVs." The TVs will need to have the capability to connect to a vintage gaming system with the coaxial cable. If you have one of these vintage TVs sitting in a closet and would like to make a donation please reach out to Justin.Malone@tylerisd.org. Thanks!
