Introducing the Student Success Center!
New look. Same team. One goal: Ensure that every Pirate succeeds.
What was once known as Guidance is now the Student Success Center—a name that better reflects the many ways our school counselors support students every day.
One of the newest additions is extra seating designed to give students a place to take a minute, regroup, and reset when they need a little space during the school day. Sometimes, being successful at school means more than getting through an assignment or preparing for the next test. It can mean taking a breath, talking with a trusted adult, working through a problem, figuring out a plan, or simply having a quiet moment before heading back to class. The Student Success Center is designed to help provide that support.
And, of course, at the heart of the Student Success Center are the people who make it what it is—our school counselors. They are here to help students navigate academics, relationships, schedules, future plans, personal challenges, and all of the other things that come with being a teenager/student.

Superintendent's Message
The Hull Public Schools appreciates our strong partnership with Hull Fire and Hull Police. We have a standing Emergency Management Committee that meets on the first Thursday of every month to review our protocols and procedures. Preparing for various incidents helps our staff to be ready in the unlikely event of an emergency incident in our schools. Please be assured that we take emergency training very seriously and our staff will always act to protect the children entrusted to our care during the school day.
To help prepare parents and caregivers to safely reunite with their child(ren) in the unlikely event of an off-site evacuation, every Hull Public School student will be given a brochure to bring home tomorrow afternoon. This printed “Emergency Guide” is intended to be kept in the glovebox of a vehicle. Experience shows that in a critical incident, relying on cellular service for communication can be a challenge. This brochure can help parents know how we have prepared for emergency situations and guides parents with important information.
Please contact either your school principal or the district office with any questions or concerns about emergency planning. Most importantly, if you see something, say something!

Tip of the Week - Need a Work Permit? Here's How! ⭐
Is your high school student ready to start a job? Before they begin working, they will need to obtain a work permit. The process is simple. Let’s walk through it step-by-step!
Step 1: Complete the Forms
Work permit forms are available on the Hull High School website under Family/Students or by clicking the blue button below. All required sections of the forms must be completed before submitting them.
Step 2: Drop Off the Completed Forms
Once the forms are complete, they can be dropped off with Kim Donovan at the Central Office, located at the Jacobs School.
For the Fastest Service
To help your student receive their work permit as efficiently as possible, we recommend dropping the completed forms off directly at Central Office. This is the quickest and most efficient option. The work permit will be issued while you are there, and you will leave with the completed permit in hand.
Central Office Hours
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Another Option: High School Main Office
Completed forms may also be dropped off at the main office of the high school. However, please be aware that this option will take longer. When forms are submitted to the high school main office, they must first be sent through interoffice mail to Central Office. Once the permit is issued, it is then sent back to the high school through interoffice mail. The secretary will then contact the student to pick it up. Because of these additional steps, dropping the forms off at the high school main office may result in a longer processing time.
Reminder: Please return your Back-to-School forms
If you have not yet returned the Emergency Contact Form and Student Handbook Signature Page, please take a moment to do so. If your student has misplaced either form, please contact the Main Office at 781-925-3000 to request a replacement. We are happy to provide another copy. Thank you for your help in ensuring that we have the most up-to-date information for all of our students!
