Our staff's biggest Bills fans already set their sights on the fall with another successful Bills season!

Dear Avoca Community,

We’re excited to be continuing our strategic planning process. Thank you for your participation in the initial community thought exchange. The response was super and your feedback will be very helpful as we begin the process of reviewing our mission, vision and core values. Our next district-wide step is to work with a large group of community, staff, Board of Education and Leadership Team members to develop ideas for how to meet the district’s objectives in each of the areas that we have prioritized.

Our community planning day will be held on Wednesday, 7/22 from 4:00pm-8:00pm. If you’re interested, please notify Rosalie Smith, District Clerk, by email at rsmith@avocacsd.org.

Mrs. DiRisio has devoted much of her adult life to helping the students at Avoca Elementary. She has worked as a Special Education Teacher here for 33 years. Anna is here before 7:00am every day preparing to meet the needs of our students. Her devotion is commendable.

Anna's plans are to spend much more time with her adorable grandchildren.

As she moves into the next phase, we wish her all the best. We will miss her.

Having fun on their field trip!

Celebrating all of our birthdays is a fun tradition here in Avoca. This one is by far the most exciting because we have so many student and staff birthdays in the summer months.

This award was signed by the President of the United States. It celebrates our students that have shown academic excellence throughout all of 5th grade. Their families joined them in celebrating their huge academic success! Your teachers and I are so proud of you!

We are excited to celebrate our seniors as they graduate tonight and step into their futures! Join us in the celebration tonight at 6PM in the Auditorium!

Have a great summer vacation, everyone! We can't wait to hear all about your adventures in the fall.

Don't forget to stop in during Open Building Night on 9/2 to find your locker, meet your teachers, and settle into the 26-27 school year!

Congratulations to 8th grader Tucker Rodbourn on being accepted into the EMS Camp at the Wyoming County Training Grounds in Warsaw, New York! This unique opportunity will give Tucker an inside look at the exciting world of emergency medical services as he steps into the shoes of a first responder.

Throughout the camp, Tucker will explore a variety of EMS healthcare careers while learning about the skills, responsibilities, and training required in the profession. He'll also participate in hands-on training, real-life emergency simulations, and receive guidance from certified EMS professionals. We are proud of Tucker for pursuing this incredible learning experience and wish him a rewarding and memorable week at camp!
