Level Up Learning! Level Up Learning!

Our school theme for the 2026–2027 school year is “Level Up Learning!” This theme reflects our commitment to helping every student grow, achieve, and reach new levels of success.

A strong partnership between school and home is essential to this work. When families and staff communicate, collaborate, and support shared goals, students are better positioned to thrive. We are excited to bring “Level Up Learning!” to life by building meaningful connections with students and families throughout the school year.

As we proceed through the school year, we want you to recognize staff members that you have noticed building strong partnerships, encouraging students, spreading positivity, or going above and beyond to support student success. We will provide families with the opportunity to recognize them by submitting a nomination to highlight them through our social media platforms on our “Level Up Learning!” bulletin board.

Submissions will be shared with nominees via email, social media, and then on our "Level Up Learning" bulletin board.

Join us this month for a Learning Coach presentation titled, " There’s a Classroom Behind That Click! Discover the Power of Learning Live!" on Wednesday, October 7th, at 1:30pm.

This will be a practical, parent-focused presentation about the importance of daily attendance and active participation in live instructional classes. We will explore how connecting with classroom teachers and classmates supports academic growth, confidence, relationships, and consistent learning habits. Families will learn simple strategies for creating a home learning routine, preparing an effective learning space, and helping children participate more independently. We will also share research about attendance and student achievement, explain Missouri’s attendance requirements and our school’s expectations, and discuss how families and school staff can work together when barriers arise. Parents will leave with a manageable plan to help their child show up, engage, and succeed.

If you are unable to attend, a recording of the presentation will be available on MOVA's webpage.

Reading at MOVA Reading at MOVA

Adding 20 minutes of reading at home each day makes a BIG impact!

We love reading at MOVA!

"Reading daily for a minimum of 20 minutes and having conversations with children about what they are reading will help build fluency, enhance vocabulary, and foster a deeper comprehension. Children who read regularly do better in school, not just in reading but in all subjects." (Scholastic, 1/13/23)
