Principal Message
Dear Parents & Guardians,
We hope this message finds you well! We have a few important updates and reminders to share with you.
Healthy Snack Reminder
We have noticed an increase in students eating candy as snacks throughout the day. Both teachers and students have been reminded that candy should only be eaten during lunch, not as a regular classroom snack. Because of the classroom setup, students have flexibility with snack times and are encouraged to have water available throughout the day. Please help reinforce this guideline at home.
Report Cards Available
Report cards are now available in PowerSchool. You can access your child’s report card through your Powerschool app on your phone or via the Powerschool website. To access the report card online:
-
Go to the Windham School District page
-

-

If you have questions about your child’s report card, please reach out directly to your child’s classroom teacher. Open communication is vital to student success.
Grade 5 Gingerbread STEAM Event
What an amazing event! Our Grade 5 students had a fantastic time at the annual Gingerbread STEAM event. Thank you to the PTA, parents, and volunteers for supporting this fun, educational experience. Events like this bring learning to life in a hands-on, engaging way for our students.
Upcoming Events
-
Monday – Mental Health Monday: We will focus on stress management strategies to help students navigate this busy time of year.
-
Wednesday – December 10th Early Release Day: Please ensure your child knows their dismissal plan. As a reminder, we are unable to provide bus passes for buses 4 and 9 due to full capacity. Please make alternative arrangements if needed.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our school and students. We appreciate your partnership in keeping our learning environment positive, safe, and fun!

Mr. Hemmer’s class had a blast launching paper rocket ships in the gym. This hands-on activity allowed students to explore creativity, problem-solving, and a bit of friendly competition as they tested how far their rockets would fly.
PE Corner
Please ensure your child has sneakers for PE classes. During the winter months students should be bringing another pair of footwear for PE, other than what they wore to school and outside at recess.
It is a safety issue during certain physical education activities and it adds to the wear and tear on the gym floor.
Thank you,
The PE department
