Welcome to Spring Educators!
This edition of Teach with Tech focuses on Spring fun. April marks the beginning of testing season- and can be a stressful month for students and teachers. When you and your students need a break- try one of the fun activities included below.
The last EdTech Huddle is April 24- please RSVP.
Warm Regards,
Ayla
Pixel Art
Make Pixel Art- is an accessible pixel canvas that does not require a login, and does not give students access to any galleries, but does allow students to download their images as PNGs.
For older, more advanced students, PixelArt has a variety of tools, unlimited colors, the ability to create layers, and other editing options. The canvas is also resizable. However, this website does have an open art gallery that anyone can post to. Students do not need to create accounts to draw. Teachers do have the option of creating a free teacher account, classroom, invite students, and review student created art.
Art Coloring Book- Google Arts & Culture
Google Arts & Culture provide a variety of famous paintings that students can digitally (or print out) and color their own way. Interact with art and relax by coloring. No login required.
Nitro Type
The game is completely free and includes custom tracking and reports on typing progress, classroom friendly content (no player chats), game timers, real-time status, and easy sign on through Google Classroom or Clever.
Boddle Learning
Boddle is a K-6 math and ELA website that incorporates games and play while learning/reviewing content. The content can be adaptive (based on a pre-assessment game) or you can assign assignments based around specific standards. There are four modes- Quiz, Pet Battles, Arcade, and Boddle Races.
As a teacher you can sign up yourself and create a classroom for free. Have students join either by logging in through Google (and a join code) or create usernames and passwords for your students.
