Scott Proud Bucks
We are so excited to kick off our new Scott Proud Bucks this year! Students will be working hard all year to earn money for following our Scott Proud Expectations in the hallways, restrooms, cafeteria, and playground. Once a month, students will get to cash in their Proud Bucks for super fun prizes. We are so thankful for our wonderful PTA for funding our prize cart and all the prizes. We would also love to offer snacks and candy as another incentive in our school store. If you are able to donate something, please check out this sign-up link, and drop off donations at the front desk. Thank you!
Parent Communication
Please check your child's purple daily folder EVERY night and initial on the monthly calendar.
Don't forget to check Seesaw daily for messages from your child's teacher or to look over the work we are doing in the classroom.
Any PTA and school communication will come home in folders on Thursdays. We will also send home all graded work at the end of the week. Please make sure to remove all of these things from your child's folder each week.
The First Grade teachers will do their best to reply by 5:30 pm each day/or within 24 business hours of receiving your communication request. Please do not expect your child's classroom teacher to respond to emails during the weekend.
Snacks
First grade eats a quick snack in the afternoon each day. We ask that you send in only ONE snack for your child and it should not require any utensils. Snacks should be: healthy, not messy (nothing cheesy, sticky, greasy), nut free, and labeled with your child's name. Snack time is no more than 10 minutes, please send one snack that can be opened and eaten quickly! Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle with them each day to keep hydrated. Please make sure your child's name is on their water bottle. Please check the Snack Safely Guide as a resource for snack ideas and snacks that are safe to consume in the presence of children with food allergies.
