May News
Happy May Cook Hill Families,
We can’t believe it is already May! This time of year always brings a great deal of excitement, and we are looking forward to all of the fun adventures, activities, and learning experiences planned for our students this month.
As the weather begins to warm up, we kindly ask families to ensure that students are dressed according to our school dress code policies and prepared for outdoor activities. We are excited to spend more time outside exploring, learning, and enjoying nature together.
Our students will be very busy this month! We are wrapping up our Look for the Good Program, and we are incredibly proud of our second grade student leaders who did a wonderful job guiding our school community through this meaningful initiative. We will also celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week and Nurse Appreciation Day, recognizing the incredible individuals who support our students each day.
Screen-Free Week begins this month as well—please be sure to check your child’s backpack and ParentSquare for bingo boards and additional information. Completed boards must be signed and returned to be entered into the raffle.
Academically, we will continue to promote strong reading and writing practices across all grade levels. Our end-of-year assessments for grades K–2 begin this month, and we appreciate your partnership in ensuring that students are well-rested, on time, and ready to do their best each day.
We also have many exciting school events to look forward to, including field trips, concerts, and Field Day later in the month!
We hope everyone has a wonderful May!
