Second graders at Sturgis Elementary were treated to a special story time Tuesday as staff from Monument Health Sturgis Hospital and Clinic staff read Porter the Hoarder in their classrooms. The event is part of the growing Porter Project, which will distribute free books and “Parent Homework” designed to encourage family reading and discussion to more than 4,000 first and second-grade students across the Black Hills. - by Tim Potts
