Happy Friday, Acacia Families!
Congratulations to our Acacia Cubs who received Cub Awareness Awards at our Spirit Assembly! We are proud of these students for following our Cub Code, demonstrating kindness, and helping make Acacia a place where everyone feels welcome and supported. Keep it up, Cubs!
If your student missed Picture Day, don’t worry! Picture Retake Day will be November 12th. More information will be shared as we get closer.
Take a night (or two!) off from cooking while supporting Acacia! Join us at Lazy Dog on September 30th and October 1st, and a portion of your purchase will help support our school. Be sure to check out the flyer below for details.
Don’t forget to save your receipts from The Oaks for Acorns for Education. It’s another easy way to earn support for Acacia while doing your regular shopping. See the flyer below for more information.
One of the exciting parts of our enrichment program is almost here! Enrichment Clusters give students opportunities to explore their interests, talents, and passions through engaging, hands-on experiences. Students will select their top three cluster choices and will be placed in one of their selections. Families will receive a paper home letting you know which cluster your Cub will be joining. We can’t wait to get started!
We are still looking for an Acacia parent or guardian to serve as our African American District Advisory Council (AADAC) representative. This is an important opportunity to represent Acacia and help ensure the voices and experiences of our students and families are heard at the district level. If you are interested, please reach out to the office for more information.
Thank you for another wonderful week, Acacia! Have a great weekend, Cubs!

PTA News
💚 Sometimes it starts with an idea...
We were so happy to see familiar and new faces at our PTA Association Meeting on Thursday!
Together, we approved our amended budget, started looking ahead at the year, and even got a jump on planning for Harvest Festival.
Some of our favorite things to come out of meetings start with an idea...
A parent at our last meeting had an idea for getting Acacia PTA started on instagram. She shared it, offered to help, joined our social media team — and then made it happen! Just a few days later, @acaciamagnetpta had its very first post. Thank you, Diana Sarceno, for having an idea and jumping in to bring it to life! Follow us on Instagram to see what's coming up next.
We love this little story because this is what being part of our Acacia community can look like. You don’t have to take on a huge job. Sometimes it starts with an idea, a little bit of your time, a skill you already have, or simply saying, “I can help with that.”
There’s a place for you, too!
Any and all help matters.
Right now, there are two places where we could especially use a few more hands:
🍂 Harvest Festival
We’re putting together our planning team! You don’t have to lead it — we’re looking for people who would like to be part of bringing the event together. If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, we’d love to have you! Email us at acaciapta@gmail.com.
🎁 Silent Auction
There are lots of different ways to help with our Silent Auction — including things you can do on your own time. Take a look at our signup and see if there’s something that works for you! It really does take a village, and we’re grateful for every person who helps make these experiences possible for our Cubs.
🍽️ Restaurant Night is this week!
Give yourself a night off from cooking and support Acacia at the same time!Join us at Lazy Dog on Wednesday, September 30 or Thursday, October 1 for our next Restaurant Night. Bring a friend, meet up with another Acacia family, or pick something up to take home - and don't forget to save those receipts for Acorns For Education!
We hope to see you there!
With appreciation,
Vanessa and Shelby
PTA President and Vice President
We're in Silent Auction Prep Mode!

Entrance Gate and Parking Reminders
To alleviate parking lot congestion and to reduce large numbers of students in the same location, we ask that you use grade-level designated gates at drop-off and pick-up. Thank you!
- Drop-Off:
All Grades: Gate 1
- Pick-Up:
TK - Gate 5
Kindergarten: Gate 4
First-Fifth Grades: Gate 1
*Optional for Fourth-Fifth Grades: Gate 7 (on Dover Avenue)
- Sibling may enter/exit together at the gate that is designated for the youngest student
Parking Lot Reminders:
- Blue accessible parking spaces are only for those with DP placards or license plates
- Please respect our reserved parking spots for principal and school staff
- Please do not stop in red zones for any reason, even to quickly drop off a student or to run into the office
- Do not exit your vehicle in the parking lot unless you have parked in a designated parking spot
- The yellow zone is for loading and unloading only - we will require you to move your vehicle if you are stationary in a yellow zone without a student leaving or entering your vehicle
- Please have students exit and enter the vehicles on the passenger side (sidewalk side) of the vehicles. We do not want students exiting vehicles into traffic.
- Be attentive for pedestrians and courteous at all times
