A Message From the Principal
Dear Academy Families and Friends,
Welcome! The 2025-2026 school year begins in a few short weeks. I hope you and your family have had a great summer and are just as excited as we are to bring in the new school year. I warmly welcome all of the new families joining Academy Avenue School and for those returning families, welcome back! While it's hard to say goodbye to summer, great things lie ahead for the 2025-26 school year.
At Academy, we love teaching, learning and seeing our students grow! We care deeply for our students and our staff focuses on academics as well our students' social/emotional development. We want students to be successful in all facets of learning and love coming to school each and every day. We have an incredible team of educators who truly love what they do. We look forward to the new school year ahead and working with you to help your child grow and achieve her/his potential.
Let's end the summer with bit of fun to bring in the new school year. Please check the "save the Dates" section as well as flyers at the bottom of this newsletter for the upcoming welcome back events! Please consider partnering and volunteering with our school. Our AAPC is an amazing team that supports all the great things we do here at Academy! We are always grateful for the support, events and activities throughout the year and by working together, we can achieve even more!
Again I send to you a heartfelt welcome! We can't wait to get the new year started with you!

- Once you know your child's class assignment, please be fill out the student dismissal form for your child. If you have more than one kiddo, please complete an additional form. Click here for more information regarding dismissal procedures.
- The school day starts at First Bell (8:50AM) and the late bell rings at 9:10AM. Please make every effort to have your child present and on time every day! The end of the day bell rings at 3:15 PM. Also please avoid the island before and after school as buses will be loading and unloading in that area.
- We will once again offer the free universal meal program. Additionally, it remains important for families to complete the free and reduced meals form in order to expand opportunities. Breakfast is available each morning from 8:50 - 9:05AM.
