From the Principal's Desk From the Principal's Desk

Dear SHS Families,

I want to begin by saying thank you to all the students and families who helped participate in the SHS float in this year’s Veteran’s Day Parade. We had a great turnout and students had so much fun representing our school and honoring our Veterans. A special Thank you to the Smiths for driving and lending the truck and trailer, and to Jerrod Bazil for constructing a new bench for the kids to sit on.

The week of November 18th - November 22nd, we will be asking families, students, and staff to fill out surveys that will help the school in its strategic planning. Information from these surveys will be used to get parent feedback on the SHS website redesign, get community feedback on initiative priority, as well aiding in the shaping of SHS’s overarching mission and 5-year plan. Surveys will be sent out via email and Remind on Monday and are to be completed by each parent or guardian. Thank you in advance for your help.

Next week is also National Discover Catholic Schools. During this week, SHS will be making an extra effort to get the word out in our community about what amazing things our school has to offer. To do this, we are asking businesses around town to help support our school by displaying one of our signs in their windows and posting about the great support we get from the community all week. If you know a business that would like to show its support and receive a shoutout from the school, please contact Mr. Greer.

Grandparents Day is Coming up on November 26th. If your family has not RSVP’d any guests, please do so. Reminder that Mass that morning will be at 10:00 followed by our Grandparents’ Brunch. Dismissal will be at 11:30 that day kicking off Thanksgiving Break.

With Faith & Hope,

Patrick (P.J.) Greer

Grandparents and VIP Brunch

Please share this information with your Grandparent or VIP!

We will begin the day with mass at 10:00am. After mass the students will find their guest and show them to their classroom. They are free to look around and visit. Their guest will then sign them out on the sign out sheet in the classroom (not the office). From there, they can head to the Parish Hall to find a seat. Father will say a blessing and then we will release by table to go through the lunch line.

If your Grandparent/VIP is not planning to attend Mass they are welcome to come through the double doors by the Parish Hall to meet up with their student. Those doors will be unlocked starting at 10:45. They will also need to go to the classroom to sign their student out. Please tell your guest to not come to the main doors to buzz in like usual. There will be no one in the office to buzz them in at that time.

If you have any questions please contact the office.
