I hope everyone had a wonderful summer break, allowing time to rest, reset, and enjoy whatever brings you happiness. At the beginning of the school year, I will visit each classroom to conduct a district-wide "Healthy Minds" lesson. This lesson focuses on helping students identify their emotions and utilize healthy coping skills to manage them effectively. During the session, students (3rd-6th) will create a "Coping Skills Shield," which will assist them in recognizing the adults in their lives who can support them during challenging times.

Throughout the school year, I am available to provide specific classroom lessons that address any behaviors observed.

Second Step is the Tier 1 curriculum provided to students in grades TK through 8. The Pacing Guide organizes lessons, ensures all required skills and topics are taught, and allows time for reteaching practice and reinforcement of social emotional skills. Lesson examples include Growth Mindset & Goal Setting, Emotion Management, Empathy, and Problem-solving.
