Happy Monday!
Hello Spring Brook Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe weekend. We had a blast seeing everyone during Friday's Halloween parade. Our teachers are looking forward to connecting with parents during today's parent teacher conferences. A big thank you to PTA for providing lunch for staff today during conferences!
All the best,
Amanda Adams
Important Information
Operation Sweet Treats for Troops
Operation Sweet Treats for Troops is returning to Spring Brook this week. Students are encouraged to bring extra Halloween candy to the collection bins at their arrival doors or outside the office. All collected candy will be donated to Operation Support Our Troops and shipped to members of the Armed Forces serving around the world. Last year, we collected over 500 pounds of candy. Let's beat that total this year! Our collection runs from Wednesday, Nov. 4 to Friday, Nov. 13 (there will be collection bins outside the office on our Parent/Teacher Conference Day).
Gift Mart
This holiday season, the Spring Brook Student Council is partnering with Giftmart for a special event that allows invited parents and guardians from under-resourced families to shop for brand-new toys at just $2.00 each. Every dollar raised from these sales is donated directly back to participating schools to help fund classroom resources.
You can help make this special event possible by donating a new, unwrapped toy for children ages 6–12. (Please, no stuffed animals or board games.) Giftmart Toy Collection Boxes will be available from November 9 – December 4 at Spring Brook!
Prefer to shop online? You can send a gift directly through the GiftMart wish lists:

Your donation helps make the holidays brighter for families who need it most and supports our schools and community at the same time. If you would prefer you can donate to https://www.giftmartfamilycharities.org/donate . Thank you for sharing the spirit of giving!
Veteran's Day
As Veterans Day approaches on November 11th, Spring Brook Elementary would like to honor all those who have sacrificed so much to ensure the safety and security of all Americans. We are forever grateful for everything that our veterans have done for us!
On Wednesday, November 11th, we will be hosting a ceremony to honor the grandfathers, grandmothers, moms, dads, uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters and any other family member who has served, or is serving, in our nation’s Armed Forces. We invite you to come in uniform if you would like.
If there is a veteran in your family that you would like to honor, please fill out this form. You may attach a photo and return it to school by Friday, November 6th so we can include it in our video presentation. These will also be displayed in the hallways leading into our ceremony.
All veterans are invited to participate in the following activities:
- 8:30-9:20am: Breakfast in the multi-purpose room (enter through Door 2). Please do not arrive before 8:20am as staff will be setting up.
- Please RSVP and include the number of people that will attend the breakfast by Friday, November 6th using the following link.Veterans Day Breakfast - https://tinyurl.com/SBVeterans
- 9:30–10:20am: Veterans Day Assembly in the Main Gym. Veterans will be given the opportunity to introduce themselves by sharing their name, branch of service, and years of service.
Once again, we thank you for all you have done and look forward to a wonderful morning of honor and celebration. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Evans at Dawn_Evans@ipsd.org.
