District Receives Clean Audit

The North Little Rock School District has received a clean financial audit from the last budget year.

HCJ CPAs & Advisors conducted the audit. These audits are required by the Arkansas Department of Education.

Capital Improvement Priorities Updated

The NLRSD has revised its capital improvement project priorities. These priorities, based on survey results from the community, include the following:

Build a middle school campus
Renovate Ole Main
Build an indoor sports and activity center

At the March 28 Regular Board Meeting, the Board of Education will vote on these priorities and how they will be funded ahead of a millage vote.

Rock Region Metro Ridership

Mr. Justin Avery, the Chief Financial Officer for Rock Region Metro, provided an update to the Board of Education on the number of our high school students who use the bus system. Earlier this school year, the North Little Rock Board of Education approved a proposal to pay the fares of students at no cost to them. In order to ride at no cost, the student must have their school-issued ID on them with a sticker on the back of the ID. The school will provide the sticker.

Regular Board Meeting

All meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. and are held in the Boardroom in the Administration Building, located at 2400 Willow Street. They are open to the public.
