The Wallin Way Weekly Newsletter
Friday, May 15th
Good Evening K9 Families,
Wow! What an amazing week at Wallin Oaks!
Today, we kicked off Field Day with our Highest Risers Parade to celebrate students who showed the highest growth in math and ELA from winter to spring on their iReady assessments. Our students proudly paraded through the halls while their peers and staff cheered them on. It was such a special way to recognize their hard work and growth!
After the parade, students headed outside for Field Day and had an absolute blast participating in all of the games and activities. There was so much excitement, laughter, and energy throughout the day!
A huge thank you goes out to our incredible PE team, Mrs. Roberts, Mrs. Olson, and Mr. Wood, for all of the time, planning, and hard work they put into making today such a success. We are also so thankful for all of our parent volunteers who helped throughout the day. Your support made a huge difference!
Today was such a great reminder of what makes Wallin Oaks so special: a community that celebrates growth, supports one another, and knows how to have fun together. We hope you have a wonderful weekend, and we can’t wait to see our students again next week!

School Information
Attendance and Transportation Reminders
We kindly ask all families to notify both the classroom teacher and the main office if your student will be absent for any reason. Clear communication helps us ensure accurate attendance records and maintain a safe, organized school environment.
Additionally, if there are any changes to your child’s transportation plans—such as switching from a bus rider to a car rider—please inform the main office directly. Our office staff will relay the information to the appropriate teacher.
Lastly, for the safety and efficiency of our drop-off procedure, please pull all the way forward in the car line and have students exit the vehicle on the side of the school.
Thank you for helping us keep everything running smoothly!
Pick Up and Drop Off Reminders
Morning Drop Off
For the safety of all students, we kindly ask that families do not park at Ira Jones during morning drop-off. Instead, please use the designated car line, which is designed to keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.
To help maintain a steady flow, we also ask that drivers remain in their vehicles at all times during drop-off. Following these procedures ensures a safe and smooth start to the day for everyone.
Afternoon Pick Up
Please remember to turn off your car while waiting to pick up your student after school. Running cars pose a safety risk for students and teachers walking up and down the car lines, and it's also important to reduce the fumes in the air for everyone’s health. Thank you for helping us keep our school environment safe and healthy!
