Principal's Update Principal's Update

10/6/25

Good Morning Memorial Families,

I hope that everyone is enjoying the final days of “summer” beforer the cooler weather settles in. We have a very exciting week this week with our annual Fun Run happening on Thursday! If you are interested in cheering on your runner, here are the times for each grade out on the field:

9:30-10:30am: Grades 1 and 2

10:30-11:30am: Grade 4

1:05-2:05: Grades K and 3

We are working towards full funding for all field trips and cultural arts programs for every grade, as well as the ability to make critical repairs to our play structure out back behind the school. We are well on our way to our $30,000 goal, and we appreciate everyone who has registered and helped with this important fundraiser.

You can catch up on your child's classroom newsletter, and all of our specialist news by clicking the link below. October newsletters are now linked.

As a reminder, this Friday is a teacher professional development day and so there is no school for students. It is a long weekend, with everyone returning on Tuesday, October 14th.

Have a terrific week!

Wendy

As in years passed, we are mandated by the MA Department of Education to communicate the results of our Beginning of the Year assessments if they show that your child is at risk for reading challenges. This is shared through a letter that will be sent home with your child in the coming weeks. Please note that this does not mean that your child has a reading disability. If you have questions about how we are supporting your child, please reach out to Leah Hagen or your classroom teacher.
