Questbridge Scholarship Recipient: Elizabeth Cube Mestre
🎉 Meet Elizabeth Cuba Mestre — Skyline’s newest Questbridge Scholar and future Yale Bulldog! 🐾💙 She’s headed to Yale on a full-ride scholarship, and we couldn’t be more proud. Your hard work, heart, and hustle paid off big time, Elizabeth!
A message from our scholar:
Through QuestBridge, I participated in The National College Match, a scholarship program I first heard about from a friend. In the fall, QuestBridge selects top applicants as Finalists, and those Finalists are then able to rank up to 15 colleges where they’d like to be “matched” – essentially being admitted early with a Match Scholarship (a 4-year full-ride scholarship) to the college that appears highest on their list. This year, QuestBridge received over 25,000 applicants, selected 7,288 Finalists, and 2,627 of us were matched with colleges. For Yale specifically 66 students matched with Yale.
I was incredibly fortunate to be one of those students, and on December 2nd, I received the exciting news that I was matched with Yale. My scholarship covers everything from tuition, housing, and food, to travel fees for when I go home during breaks ( total of $101,647 per year). I also received a $2,000 start-up grant for dorm supplies, a winter clothing grant since the weather in Arizona is very different to Connecticut's cold climate, and health insurance. Additionally, as part of the QuestBridge Scholars community, I have access to a network of other QuestBridge scholars and alumni, along with opportunities for internships, events, and resources to help me succeed in college and beyond.
I am truly grateful for this opportunity and feel so excited for the next chapter of my education. I’m looking forward to joining the Yale community and continuing to dream without limits, where the only barriers that exist are those I dare to challenge.

Athletes and parents of athletes will gain access on May 23, 2025 to ensure lines of communication remain open for summer activities.
We encourage parents to download the app ahead of account creation to ensure continuous communication; however, you will not have login access until the above listed dates.
What will ParentSquare be used for?
- Newsletter sharing/posting
- Streamline the process to find important information
- Communicating Skyline event details
- Have activities, athletics, and academics all on one page
