Senior of the Week

Kaylee Do was nominated by her counselor, Mr. Roach. "I am thrilled to nominate Kaylee Do as my selection for Senior of the Week. Kaylee is a phenomenal student and incredible leader on our campus. Although she has only been on my caseload this year, I have seen her on campus throughout high school and have seen just how connected she is. She has been actively involved in our AVID program for the past three years, serves as the AVID Club Co-President, and is a Varsity Cheer Captain this year. Kaylee is the true definition of what it means to be a Rowland Raider. She has a great work ethic and is always willing to help support her peers in need. I'm extremely proud of all that she has accomplished, and I know that she has an incredible future ahead of her. Congratulations, Kaylee, keep up the great work!"

IB English IB English

In December, Mr. Falk's IB juniors brought one of the Bard's most famous plays to life by performing Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Macbeth. Each scene was performed live, and students wore costumes of their own design, brought props, and memorized lines. This exciting project acted as the culmination to a five-week unit spent reading, analyzing, and writing about one of the most iconic tragedies ever written in the English language and allowed students to showcase their understanding in an active and creative format worthy of Shakespeare's approval.

Boys Volleyball Winter Tourney Boys Volleyball Winter Tourney

Shout out to the boys' volleyball tournament team! They had their very first tournament last Saturday, Jan 17th, at West Covina High School. This is the very first time the boys have come together and played against multiple schools. Despite being brand new, the boys did a great job! There were many hype moments with blocks, spikes, and some incredible digs. Keep it up, boys! Shout out to our head volleyball coach, Coach Park, for organizing the boys and hosting practices over the break.
