CHANGES TO VOLUNTEER POLICY FOR 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR!
An email was sent out last week about some changes to the Volunteer Policy for the coming school year. At Palmer Catholic Academy, we believe that educating children is a partnership between school and family. Parent volunteers are at the heart of that partnership. By sharing your time and talents, you help create memorable experiences for our students, support our teachers, strengthen our Catholic community, and model the value of service for our children. The success of many of our programs, events, and traditions simply would not be possible without the generosity of our volunteers. Every family has something to contribute, and together we help make Palmer Catholic Academy the special place it is.
This year, families are required to complete 25 volunteer points throughout the school year.
For those families choosing to opt-out of the volunteer points, there will be a cost of $2500, due by September 1.
** If you are choosing to opt-out, you must complete this electronic form: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=0sVOnWupTk23su4_B_-nABccOAUkb_BAihap9Klv14JUMzQxNjYwODRKTDE2VkNGMjFVQjlDWjNGRi4u
*** Note: Families will be charged a fine of $120 per point for any unfulfilled volunteer points at the end of the school year.****

During the sales tax holiday, qualifying items will be exempt from sales tax, including certain school supplies selling for $50 or less per item; learning aids selling for $30 or less; certain clothing, footwear and accessories selling for $100 or less per item; and personal computers and related accessories purchased for noncommercial home or personal use selling for $1,500 or less.

REPORTING BULLYING
At PCA, the safety and well-being of every child is our priority, and we are committed to fostering a community rooted in respect, kindness, and our Catholic values.
To support this, we have an anonymous bullying reporting form that may be used by students or parents to share concerns. Though not every hurtful word or disagreement is bullying, each moment is a chance for us to guide our children in treating one another with dignity and love.
Our goal is to work together, with understanding and compassion, to help our students learn healthy ways to interact, resolve conflicts, and grow in friendship.
As always, you can always email me directly with any concerns, but if not, this is another way to help us ensure a safe, happy learning environment for all our Blue Angels.
Please see the Code of Conduct for more information about bullying.
