Welcome Back!
Let's make it another week at Clearwater!
BLACK HISTORY MONTH
As we draw the month of February to a close, we reflect on a powerful Black History Month celebration that allowed us to purposefully focus our attention on the profound contributions and lasting impact African American citizens have made on our nation. While this month serves as a dedicated time for recognition, the true mission lies in the transition from a seasonal spotlight to a permanent commitment. We are reminded that celebrating these achievements should not be confined to a single month; rather, it is our responsibility to purposefully plan and integrate culturally relevant instruction into our curriculum throughout the entire year, ensuring that the diverse history of our country is honored every day in our classrooms.
3RD GRADE GARDEN PARTY
What an incredible week for our third graders! After months of hard work and careful tending, our young gardeners finally celebrated their very first harvest. From planting tiny seeds early in the year to gathering a bounty of fresh vegetables this week, the students’ dedication truly paid off. To honor their amazing accomplishments, the entire grade level joined together for a festive, garden fresh salad party! A huge round of applause goes to our wonderful teachers for creating such a memorable, hands-on learning experience. We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our parent volunteers and Cynthia Soltero for their incredible support in bringing this special celebration to life. Way to go, 3rd grade!
6TH GRADE SCIENCE CAMP
Our 6th grade students recently attended on an unforgettable journey to Camp Marston for a five-day outdoor science adventure! This trip marked a significant milestone for our school, as it was our first Science Camp opportunity since before the pandemic, and we are thrilled to bring this tradition back to our 6th grade Dolphins. Throughout the week, students immersed themselves in the wonders of nature through hiking, sports, and even wall climbing, all while building a strong sense of community. Beyond the physical activities, the experience focused on personal growth; students took on daily responsibilities like setting up and cleaning up, learning the value of contributing to a shared living space. Welcome back 6th graders!
RIVERSIDE COUNTY SCIENCE FAIR WINNER!
It is with immense pride and honor that we celebrate the incredible achievements of our very own Kathryn Jimenez at the Riverside County Science Fair held in Riverside this past Saturday. Reflecting the high academic expectations we hold at Clearwater, Kathryn journey to the county fair began with her Science Project entitled, Roots or Water, that was recognized at the Perris Elementary School District Science Fair.
Her dedication and scientific inquiry led her to the county-wide competition, where she ultimately won gold in her division. This accomplishment is a testament to her hard work!
