We gather together on this day to pay tribute to the indomitable spirit and unwavering passion of our beloved friend and esteemed Kettlebell Sport lifter, Borys Melnyk. As we dedicate the USKSL Midwest Regionals to his memory, renaming it The Borys Melnyk Midwest Regionals, we celebrate a man whose presence illuminated every competition arena he graced.

Borys Melnyk was not merely a lifter; he was a pillar of the Kettlebell Sport community, a mentor to many, and a beacon of sportsmanship. His dedication to the sport was unmatched, evident in every swing, snatch, and jerk he executed with finesse and determination.

Beyond his remarkable athleticism, Borys was known for his kindness, humility, and unwavering support for his fellow athletes and International Judging expertise. As Head Judge, he ensured fairness and integrity, leaving an indelible mark on every competition he officiated.

Though Borys may have left us physically, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. The Borys Melnyk Midwest Regionals stand as a testament to his enduring legacy, inspiring generations of Kettlebell Sport enthusiasts to strive for excellence and embody the values he held dear.
