Dear Eagle Families:

I hope this message finds you enjoying a relaxing and fun-filled summer! Although there are still a few weeks left before we officially welcome students back, I would like to express our excitement for the upcoming school year.

Our team has been hard at work this summer preparing for a strong start to the year. From thoughtful planning around instruction and student supports to updates around the building and staff professional learning, every decision is made with our students' success and well-being in mind. We can’t wait to fill the halls with energy, laughter, and learning once again.

As we approach the start of school, please be on the lookout for important updates and announcements, which will be shared via ParentSquare. This will continue to be our primary means of communication for sharing school news, reminders, and classroom updates throughout the year. If you haven’t already signed up or need help accessing ParentSquare, please don't hesitate to contact the main office for assistance.

Please note the important dates listed below. The Prairie View staff is looking forward to welcoming our students back to school and embarking on another exciting year of learning and growth.

Elementary classroom assignments, middle school student schedules, and transportation information will be released via Infinite Campus Parent Portals on Monday, August 4, 2025.

If you need assistance with your parent portal, please contact your school office.

Prairie View's Student/Parent Walkthrough is scheduled for Wednesday, August 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The walkthrough provides an opportunity to purchase locks, gym suits, and spirit wear, as well as pick up pre-ordered school supply kits.

Students and parents may also walk through the building to familiarize themselves with the location of classes and lockers. Please note that students will not be allowed to enter the building unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. If you have any questions regarding the walkthrough, please contact the Prairie View school office at (708) 532-8540.

Important August dates to mark on your calendar:

• Wednesday, August 6 - Middle School Walkthrough for Students and Parents: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Grissom and Prairie View's Student/Parent Walkthrough is scheduled for Wednesday, August 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The walkthrough provides an opportunity to purchase locks, gym suits, and spirit wear, as well as pick up pre-ordered school supply kits.

• Wednesday, August 13 - First Day of School for All Students (EC - 8): Middle school students will attend school from 8:40 am to 3:07 pm.

• Monday, August 18 - Middle School Open House from 6:00 to 7:30 pm

• Thursday, August 21 - The Board of Education Meeting will be held at the administration building at 7:00 pm
