Hello Trailblazers!
10.09.2026
Dear Discovery Families,
Our Discovery PTO has such important role in making our school. We need your help to keep these wonderful Discovery traditions going! As we look ahead, we are seeking parents who are willing to take on leadership roles within our PTO. We currently have a need for individuals interested in serving as PTO Treasurer and President-Elect. We are also looking for parent leaders to help co-lead some of our favorite annual events such as our Glow Dance, Book Bingo, Color Run and Foam Party, School Yearbook, School Supply Sale and Pizza Sales. The good news is that you don't have to do it all! We are hoping to build teams of parents who can share responsibilities to make these activities successful. Whether you can co-lead an event, help behind the scenes, or volunteer an hour or two, every contribution makes a difference.
Please scan the QR code below or click this link to become more involved in our PTO group. Joining the group doesn't mean you're committing to a leadership position or volunteering for every event. It gives you an opportunity to help when you can.
Many hands make light work, and together we can make this another amazing year for our Discovery Trailblazers!
With appreciation,
Mrs. Ali Parkinson - Principal
Mrs. Jodi Dodson - Associate Principal

Discovery Behavior Tracking
Using our new Infinite Campus system, all elementary schools will track student behaviors. Below is an explanation of how we will track minor and major behaviors and how we will have a designated teaching time each Friday to meet with student's with multiple behavior reminders.
Nut Free!
Our school is a nut-free facility to help keep all students safe. Please be sure that any snacks or lunches sent with your child do not contain nuts or nut products.
Birthday Treats Reminder
To help keep all of our students safe, our school district does not allow birthday treats or food items to be brought in due to allergies. We love celebrating students, and non-food items like trinkets, small toys, pencils, or other fun items are always welcome. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!
Thank You for Keeping Our Students Safe! ππππ
Oops Happens!
Spills, mud, accidents, and unexpected messes happen! Please send a spare set of clothes in your childβs backpack to keep at school. A shirt, pants/shorts, underwear, and socks can make all the difference when little mishaps happen!
