From the Principal's Desk From the Principal's Desk

Fuller Families,

We have some exciting things coming up this week! On Thursday, September 25th, we’ll have our Fuller Family Gathering. Our PK–2nd grade students will begin at 9:00 AM, and our 3rd–5th grade students will follow at 9:45 AM. We can’t wait to celebrate all the wonderful things our Chaparrals are doing!

On Friday, September 26th, students will enjoy a day off for a Student Holiday and Staff Development Day. We hope you take advantage of the 3-day weekend to spend some extra time together. And while you’re celebrating, please join us in wishing Mrs. Sanchez a very Happy Birthday on Friday!

Families, we truly appreciate your partnership in helping our Chaparrals grow. School is a place where our focus is learning, and success starts at home. Please take time to talk with your child about the behavior you expect from them at school. We are here to reinforce the lessons and expectations you set at home—but we cannot be the first to teach what respectful, responsible behavior looks like.

Following through with consistent consequences at home helps students understand that we are a team, working together to support their learning and growth. Thank you for helping us create a positive environment where every student can thrive.

Linked below is a great resource to read and share with your child.

Have a great upcoming week and remember,
We are Fuller, We are Family!

Thank you,

Nathan Smith

Good attendance is important for many reasons. Your child receives the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance.

A compulsory attendance notification will be sent to the parent if a student has unexcused absences on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period. Notice it says “parts of days.” This means that leaving school early, or arriving excessively late in the day, even if the child attended for some of the day, may count as an absence.

In the state of Texas, Pre-K is not required, however, once you enroll your student in school, all attendance laws apply.

For attendance questions:
