New Science Standards Introductory Session
Sign up for an introduction to the Georgia Standards of Excellence in the comfort of your own school! Dr. White will come to you and meet with your teachers to discuss the new standards, new assessments, and share some sample lesson plans. Sessions can be before school (AM), after school (PM), or all day with grade levels, teams, or departments. Presented by Page Tarleton and Cristy Fogle from Arbor Springs. Bring the standards to life while teaching your students to explore, experiment, and draw their own conclusions. This will be a hands-on, inquiry-based approach that makes learning about rocks and soil, force and motion, beyond fun and super engaging! Explore the stages of inquiry and how STEM fits right in. Activities and Tools for Test Readiness
Michelle Clarke will present classroom-tested, student-engaging activities and tools for helping students be prepared for testing. The session is open to all regular/special education mathematics teachers and instructional coaches in grades 6-8. Participants should bring their Chromebooks.
