Bonsall Unified Community Update December 2025
Dear Bonsall Unified Families,
As we close the year, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our families for the many ways you support our students, staff, and schools each day. May this holiday season bring peace, joy, and meaningful moments of connection with those you hold dear. In the year ahead, we look forward to continuing our work together and to welcoming students back to school on January 5, 2026.
Warmly,
Dr. Heather Golly
Superintendent, Bonsall Unified School District
Board Trustee Provisional Appointment
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Rachael Dombrowski, who will serve as the Board Trustee for Trustee Area A.
We appreciate her willingness to serve our district and community, and we look forward to working together on behalf of our students and families.
Upcoming Parent & Community Forums/Town Halls
As we continue our facilities planning and work on our True North 2030 Strategic Plan, we invite families and community members to participate in upcoming Parent and Community Forums and Trustee Area–based Town Halls beginning in January. These gatherings provide an opportunity to learn more about our planning efforts, ask questions, and share input as we shape the future of our schools together. Please take a moment to review the attached flyer and save the dates—we look forward to connecting with you.
BUSD Board President Feature Article
We are proud to share that our School Board President was featured in the California School Boards Association Fall 2025 publication as part of their Member Profile section. The article highlights her leadership, service, and commitment to public education. President Anderson was also featured in the CSBA Blog School Boards in Action: 5 Questions with Larissa Scors Anderson, Bonsall USD Board President. I encourage you to take a few moments to read both features and join us in celebrating this well-deserved recognition.
Parent Engagement Opportunities through NCCSE
We are pleased to share upcoming parent education and engagement opportunities offered through the North Coastal Consortium for Special Education (NCCSE). These workshops are designed to support families in understanding the IEP process, strengthening partnerships with schools, and building practical strategies to support students at home. Please review the attached flyers for session details, dates, and registration information—we encourage interested families to take advantage of these valuable, no-cost opportunities.
