Message from Mrs Dietz

Dear DCPHW Families,

March is full of activities and spring is right around the corner! The best part about March is that it is Reading Month. This year's theme is "Round Up A Good Book"! We have a lot planned so be sure to check out the reading month calendar below.

Attendance is a huge concern. Our school goal is to have an average daily attendance of at least 95% each day, we have fallen below our goal! It is imperative your child(ren) is at school every day.

You will receive a letter when your child reaches 10, 15, and 20 absences. Please make sure we are aware if your child is sick. It will be counted as an excused absence. Truancy is considered at 20 absences but there are factors we take into account before filing such as making up missed work and communication with the teacher. If you have questions, please call the office.

Let's have a GREAT March

Educationally yours,

Mrs.Dietz

Principal

Thank you, families! We closed out February with an average daily attendance (ADA) of 88%. Let’s work together to reach 90% in March — every day counts, and we know our scholars can do it!

Attendance updates have begun going home. All 5th grade scholars should have received theirs, and Kindergarten is next.

🎉 Grade-Level Shoutouts:

7th and 1st Grade: 10 LiveSchool points for having the lowest number of scholars absent last week.
4th Grade: 10 LiveSchool points for earning the highest ADA in K–5.
7th and 8th Grade: 10 LiveSchool points each for being tied for the highest middle school ADA.

Additionally, all scholars who were present on 2/27/26 will receive 25 LiveSchool points!

Thank you for your continued partnership in making attendance a priority. Let’s make March our strongest month yet!

We’re excited to expand opportunities for our student body by officially adding baseball to our athletic program!

Baseball is a game that builds patience, teamwork, discipline, and critical thinking skills all qualities that help our young men grow both on and off the field.

This will be the inaugural season of DCP Tigers Baseball, and we’re looking forward to getting started this spring with a strong focus on fundamentals and conditioning.

The season will be played in the Eagle Sports League, with all games taking place on Saturdays at Bald Duck Park.

We encourage all students who are interested in learning the game, developing their skills, and competing to complete our interest card to receive more detailed information.

Let’s build something special Go Tigers!
