Participate in Reflections
Each year, National PTA recognizes student artwork through their Reflections program. This year's theme is "What My Culture Means to Me." Students reflect on the theme and create an original work of visual arts, dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition and/or photography. Spring Brook participants will be recognized at a Reflections doughnut breakfast before school! Submissions are judged locally, with the opportunity to advance to the district, state and national levels. Please fill out this form to receive an official entry form along with information on how to submit projects and abide by category guidelines. Entries are due by Friday, Oct. 9. More details here.
Blizzard Bucks: Celebrating Students!
Huskies LEAD!
We are continuing last year's theme of Huskies LEAD by focusing on specific aspects of being a leader. Below is a list of what we're focusing on each quarter:
Quarter 1: L - Listen and Learn
Quarter 2: E - Empower Others
Quarter 3: A - Accept All
Quarter 4: D - Difference Makers
As we count down to the end of the quarter, we're highlighting special traits we can do to model listening and learning during announcements. Our assembly celebrating students will be on Friday, October 16. We'll wrap up the quarter by announcing special shout-outs for students who have been excellent examples of listening and learning throughout the quarter, then we'll kick off second quarter by explaining what it means to Empower Others.

Attendance Reminders
On August 11th, District 204 staff updated the School Board about several changes to Student Attendance Procedures for the 2026-27 school year. Here are a few helpful hints.
How do I mark my child absent from school?
-ParentVUE app or website (preferred option), or
-Call your school’s attendance line. Found on each school webpage.
What’s New with ParentVUE?
ParentVUE has a new mobile app! If you haven’t upgraded to the new version, please do! Click HERE for instructions.
It’s easier than ever to provide documentation about your child’s absences in the ParentVUE app.
Start by snapping a photo of an appointment card or other absence documentation.
Click the blue “Report Absence” button (next to your student’s photo).
Next, scroll to “Upload Note or Document” (at the bottom of the screen).
Choose “Generate PDF” to find the “Gallery” option. Find your photo and attach it!
Did You Know…
If your child is absent from school, but the absence hasn’t been submitted to the school, 204 Connect will now send an automated alert via text, phone call, and email –two hours after the start of the school day.
If you receive this notification, no worries –it’s simply a reminder to enter your child’s absence in ParentVue or call the school attendance line.
We’re also using 204 Connect to help keep you in the loop about your child’s school attendance! 204 Connect will automatically send you a text, call, and email if your child reaches 5 or 9 days of absence.
Bike Riding
Please remind your students to walk their bikes while on school property. This helps ensure everyone's safety during arrival and dismissal.
Forgotten Items?
Please remember to drop off any forgotten items by 10:45am. We will always accept any medical necessities like glasses.
