Senior of the Week

Dominik Losonsky has been nominated by his counselor, Mr. Elder. "I'd like to recognize Dominik Losonsky. He is one of the most resilient human beings I’ve ever known. No matter how big an obstacle is in front of him, Dominik never gives up or quits. He inspires me every day. He constantly challenges himself with rigorous classes and is going to be successful whatever road he travels on after high school."

Athlete of the Week

Coach Ramirez nominated Gogo Zhou. "Gogo has a 5.0 GPA and is excelling in our sport. When she has after-school work, she shows up at 5:45 to get her workout down before anyone else is awake or arriving at school. She runs a double practice every Monday, which means she runs 4 miles at 6 am and 4 miles in the afternoon. Currently, she is the number 1 runner on the team with an 18:20 3-mile personal record. This puts her 2nd in school history at that distance. As our number 1 runner, she has led us to back-to-back first-place finishes in our league and a #9 CIF ranking. She will look to solidify her amazing cross-country career in the near future, hoping for a league championship and a trip to the CIF State Finals. Again, all this while maintaining a 5.0 GPA and an after-school job."

Mr. Poulter nominated Jason Luo. "Jason exemplifies what a scholar should be. He is extremely bright and insightful, but most importantly, he looks out for those who struggle. He always helps students around the class and contributes to the lesson. My favorite characteristic of Jason is his kindness."
