A Note From Mr. Wilson... A Note From Mr. Wilson...

As we move through the fall semester, I continue to be impressed by the pride and teamwork across Lebo-Waverly Schools. Every time I visit a classroom, walk through a hallway, or stop by an activity, I see students who are growing, learning, and leading with heart.

I’m also proud to share that USD 243 was recognized by the Kansas State Department of Education through the Kansans Can STAR Recognition Program with Bronze in Academic Preparation, Gold in Graduation, Silver in Postsecondary Effectiveness, and the Commissioner’s Award with Honors. These awards reflect the effort and heart our district puts into helping every student reach their goals.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for believing in the power of education to change lives.

Mr. Dustin Wilson

Celebrations from Across the District Celebrations from Across the District

Lebo Schools

Lebo students and staff have been busy making a difference. September’s Leader of the Pack students set a great example for others, and the Jr. Wolfpack Leadership Club kicked off with service projects and mentoring younger students.

STUCO reps attended the STUCO conference in Derby, and our STEM class calculated weight distribution for their cars to race.

Congratulations to the Lebo JH Volleyball team for capturing the Lyon County League Regular Season title!

Waverly Grade School

At WGS, the new Bullpup Care Crew is spreading positivity by celebrating life’s special moments and supporting each other when times get tough. Students also enjoyed a busy month of learning beyond the classroom—from the Granada Theatre performance to trips to local pumpkin patches.

Grandparents and “grandbuddies” even joined the fun for a special Grandparents Day celebration filled with planting and laughter.

Waverly Junior/Senior High School

There’s a lot to be proud of at WJH/HS. Teachers came back from the MTSS Symposium ready to share new idea. We also saw strong growth in state assessment scores, and our seniors continue to take steps toward their futures through Reality U, college visits, and FAFSA completion nights. We are gearing up for our Community Service Day on October 22nd.

Waverly Juniors took a field trip to the WWI Museum in Kansas City.

Congratulations to the WJH Football team. They finished the season 6-1 and co-champions of the Lyon County League!
