Weekly Wrangler!
October 23rd, 2026
Message from Ms. Triplett
We had another fantastic week at Lang Ranch! On Wednesday, our Wranglers came together to celebrate Unity Day, wearing orange and spreading messages of kindness, inclusion, and standing together against bullying. We also had an amazing October Pep Rally! A huge shout-out to our Student Council Leadership Team for another incredible job bringing our school together for fun, school spirit, and some important reminders. We are so proud of our student leaders!
Looking ahead, we have another exciting week at the Ranch! On Tuesday, October 27th, join us for Restaurant Night at Jersey Mike's from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. It's a great excuse to take a night off from cooking while supporting our school! Thursday is Make-Up Picture Day! If your child missed our original Picture Day or needs a retake, be sure they're ready for their close-up! And on Friday, October 30th, we'll wrap up the week with one of our favorite traditions, our Halloween Parade! We can't wait to see all of our Wranglers dressed up in their creative costumes and enjoying some Halloween fun together! Please see information below for parade information.
Be sure to check the rest of our newsletter for additional information and reminders about upcoming events.
Happy Trails!

We are pleased to share that Lang Ranch Elementary made Educational Results Partnership’s list of California’s top performing schools!
This is the twelfth year that ERP has completed the Honor Roll list, which recognizes top public schools, school districts and charter schools in California that have outperformed their peers in closing achievement gaps, particularly among higher-poverty and historically disadvantaged student populations.
This year 2,080 schools in California made the Honor Roll. This is approximately 24 percent of all eligible schools in the state. Results are based on data of student outcomes on the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) for the 2024-2026 academic years. To see how schools were selected, click here to view the California Honor Roll Methodology.
The Honor Roll shines a positive light on schools where students are learning the fundamental skills that employers value. We are proud to recognize you as a higher performing school and plan on learning more about your best practices for accelerating student learning in the critical areas of reading, writing and math.
This effort is part of a national campaign to engage business leaders in recognizing successful schools and educational systems that are preparing students with the fundamental skills needed to be successful in the workforce and in life. The Honor Roll is the only school recognition program presented in partnership with business leaders and based solely on objective student achievement data. The goal is to find and highlight successful schools and encourage collaboration among educators on best practices for raising student achievement.
The California Honor Roll is presented by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence in collaboration with a coalition of statewide and local business leaders including the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and 26 other state and local chambers of commerce.
Congratulations! We are proud of our Wranglers!
