Pedimos a todos los padres y cuidadores que consideren ser voluntarios en la escuela este año. Ya sea que puedas dar una hora una vez al mes o ayudar con más regularidad durante el horario escolar, tu tiempo hace una gran diferencia para nuestros estudiantes, docentes y la comunidad escolar.

• No se requiere experiencia especial — damos la bienvenida a todas las manos que quieran ayudar.
• Las tareas incluyen apoyo en el salón y ayuda en el edificio: asistencia en el comedor y otras labores generales de la escuela.
• La ayuda se realizará durante el horario escolar; la programación sigue siendo flexible para adaptarse a tu disponibilidad.

We’re asking all parents and caregivers to consider volunteering at school this year. Whether you can give an hour once a month or help more regularly during school hours, your time makes a big difference for our students, teachers, and school community.

• No special experience required — we welcome all helping hands.
• Tasks include classroom support and help around the building: lunchroom help and other general school duties.
• Help will take place during school hours; scheduling is still flexible to fit your availability.

If you’re interested, please fill out the volunteer form included with this newsletter. Want to know where help is most needed or what days work best? Call or email the main office and they’ll connect you with teachers or coordinators looking for support.

Espero que se encuentren bien. Ha sido un placer conocer a sus hijos e hijas en Bienestar Físico: su energía, esfuerzo y amabilidad hacen que cada día sea disfrutable.

Sobre mí
Me llamo Sr. Bradley y soy el docente de educación física en Los Lagos. Este es mi vigésimo primer año enseñando educación física. Me encanta ayudar a los estudiantes a activarse de forma segura y motivarlos a dar lo mejor de sí.

Celebraciones de la semana

• K–2.º grado: Los estudiantes rotaron por estaciones centradas en habilidades básicas de movimiento. Las estaciones incluyeron:

  • tablas de equilibrio
  • muro de escalada
  • hula hula
  • baloncesto
  • atrapar conos y pelota

• 3.º–5.º grado: Los estudiantes trabajaron en el juego limpio y el trabajo en equipo mientras practicaban hockey de piso en un lado del gimnasio y fútbol en el otro. Practicaron habilidades mostrando excelente deportividad y colaboración. Fue maravilloso ver la cooperación, el ánimo y la mejora entre los equipos.

Disfruté mucho ver a los estudiantes ejercitarse de manera segura, probar nuevas habilidades y animarse entre sí.

Anuncios importantes
Con la llegada del invierno, por favor recuerden que los estudiantes deben traer calzado deportivo para las clases de educación física.

Las botas son ideales para el exterior, la nieve y el frío, pero no son las más adecuadas para hacer ejercicio en interiores.
Contar con calzado deportivo ayuda a mantener a los estudiantes seguros y cómodos durante las actividades.

Gracias por su apoyo continuo para reforzar hábitos saludables, la asistencia y una actitud positiva.

Dear Los Lagos Families,

I hope you are all well. It has been a pleasure getting to know your children in Physical Wellness — their energy, effort, and kindness make each day enjoyable.

About Me My name is Mr. Bradley, and I am the Physical Wellness teacher at Los Lagos. This is my 21st year teaching Physical Wellness. I love helping students get active in a safe way and encouraging them to try their best.

Celebrations from the Week

• Upper elementary (3rd–5th grades): Students worked on sportsmanship and teamwork while playing floor hockey on one side of the gym and soccer on the other. They practiced skills while showing excellent sportsmanship and teamwork. It was wonderful to see cooperation, encouragement, and improvement across teams.

• Lower elementary (K - 2nd graders): Students rotated through stations focusing on foundational movement skills. Stations included:

• Balance boards

• Climbing wall

• Hula hoops

• Basketball

• Cone and ball catch

¡Hola familias de Los Lagos! Queremos agradecer a todos los que se tomaron el tiempo para ser voluntarios en nuestra fiesta navideña y en todas las demás fiestas de clase durante la última semana. ¡Los niños se divirtieron muchísimo!

El evento Noche de Juegos (Game Night) será el 27 de enero de 5 a 7 p. m. Será una noche divertida para que las familias y los estudiantes jueguen juegos conocidos y también prueben otros no tan familiares. ¡Estamos ansiosos por verlos a todos allí!

¡Esperamos que todos tengan unas vacaciones de invierno divertidas y seguras! Nuestra próxima reunión será el 12 de enero. ¡Nos vemos entonces!

Hello Los Lagos families! We want to thank everyone who has taken the time to volunteer for our fiesta navideña and all of the other class holiday parties over the past week. The kids had so much fun!

Noche de Juegos (Game Night) event will be on January 27th from 5-7pm. It will be a fun night for families and students to play games that are familiar and also try other not-so-familiar games. We can’t wait to see everyone there!

We hope everyone has a fun and safe winter break! Our next meeting will be January 12. We will see you then!
