Dear Trail Blazer Community Dear Trail Blazer Community

As we head into Thanksgiving break I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for your support of our students, teachers and campus.

Your enthusiasm, whether through volunteering, attending events or sending staff shout outs, is appreciated. Your continued partnership helps us, as we strive to fulfill our school mission to inspire our students to become successful, thoughtful, and socially responsible leaders that are driven by values and achievement.

Student Extended Absences (vacation or otherwise)

FISD policy does NOT permit students to 'work ahead' or to get missed work from teachers prior to the planned absences. Students who remain enrolled, will receive the grade earned; a zero for the remaining grades will be assigned and upon return the student can work with teachers to get missing work submitted within a reasonable time frame and teachers can then submit a grade change form if applicable. It is the student’s responsibility to meet with the teacher and turn in missing work or make up missed assessments upon return to campus.

Students who are considered truant (will have accrued more than ten unexcused absences for days or parts of days within a six-month period including the days that will be missed at the end of the year) will be subject to truancy prevention measures and the possibility of being referred to truancy court.

Students who fall below 75 % attendance in any course will be denied credit.

WFAA Santa's Helpers Toy Drive

Frisco ISD and Lebanon Trail is once again partnering with WFAA Santa's Helpers campaign.

Partner with Local Nonprofits to Support Students

Join Frisco ISD in fostering a strong, supportive community for our students by lending a hand to local nonprofits dedicated to providing essential resources. Your involvement helps ensure that every student has what they need to thrive, both inside and outside the classroom.

Support Opportunities:

Frisco Fastpacs
Help feed students on weekends by partnering with Frisco Fastpacs, which delivers nutritious food directly to students’ homes every Friday.

Frisco Lovepacs
Support families during school breaks with supplemental food from Frisco Lovepacs. Volunteers pack and distribute food for Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring breaks.

Refresh Frisco
Contribute to student well-being by donating or volunteering with Refresh Frisco, which provides essential hygiene packs with products like shampoo, soap, and toothpaste on a quarterly basis.

Junior & Senior Trade Fair

We are so very excited to offer this exclusive opportunity to our junior and senior students. Parents, if your student is undecided about college or they have already decided that they will not be starting off at a traditional four year university, please have them sign up (with their school email address) to visit the Trade Fair on Thursday. Students have the opportunity to sign up during first and second periods as well as to visit during Mega Lunch.

Hydroponic Heroes: Our Eco-Conscious Students

We're thrilled to celebrate the success of our Environmental Conservation Organization (ECO)! These dedicated students have been hard at work cultivating fresh, hydroponic lettuce right here at school. Thanks to a cafeteria grant, our ECO was able to set up a hydroponic garden, which they tend to during Mega Lunch. The homegrown lettuce is then harvested and delivered to the cafeteria, where it's incorporated into delicious and nutritious student meals.

We're incredibly proud of our young environmentalists for their commitment to sustainability and their contributions to our school community.
