Great Things Happening at Como
MCJROTC News
Mission Accomplished. The year-end MCJROTC Warriors Night Cinco de Mayo theme was filled with mud fun, good food, Obstacle Course, pinata's, grog, and finally the billet announcements. Planned and orchestrated in detail by all our Cadet Juniors. Congratulations to all Juniors on your selection to specific billets. You'll be great and can now steer the ship!!! Nally See-Commanding Officer. Johavani Weni Maloba-Executive Officer. Montez Adams-Sergeant Major. Ooh Rah.
This evening's event in the backyard holds much anxiety for our Juniors and relief on our Seniors as they pass the baton. An event rich in fun, games, and traditions in MCJROTC history as the staff billets for next year will be announced at the end of the night and we shall see the leadership that will steer the ship next school year. OOH RAH!
Another great event. A very busy weekend for the cadets. On Sunday, 27 April several cadets gathered at the Txuj Ci Hmong Cultural and Language Lower Campus Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota to setup, teardown, food preparation, and special support towards their community. Led by Sophomore Cadet Corporal Noreah Chatman-Hurley. Great job.
Loaves & Fishes Food Drive. Today more than sixty Como Park MCJROTC cadets gave up their time to volunteer in making a tangible contribution to the Twin Cities community by providing free meals to families, friends, and neighbors. The cadets were able to work together as a team today by distributing goods to more than two-hundred cars and impacting approximately four hundred families in need. Superb example of unselfishness. OOH RAH!
Cadets performed admirably their Armed Exhibition Drill Team, Color Guard Team, and Patron Children Knockout for a large crowd gathered for the annual Wheels, Tracks, and Wings Family Fun event hosted by the Ashby American Legion and Elbow Lake, Minnesota Airport. Afterwards cadets posed with several pieces of equipment on display. Great job! Ooh Rah!
The MCJROTC annual support the Feed My Starving Children program took place Friday afternoon led by Cadet Sergeant Nally See. By packing hundreds of meals for families in need in other countries shows their sincere unselfishness. Great job all of you. 🤠
HOSA student La Ku Shine has spearheaded a community service project to knit and crochet hats for newborns. HOSA will donate the hats to Saint Paul Children's Hospital for babies in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). A great amount of work and care has gone into each little hat. We are excited to deliver the hats once we have thirty completed. If you would like to donate soft yarn for this service project, we greatly appreciate all donations.
