Winter Break

Edmond Schools will be out for Winter Break from December 20, 2024 thru January 6, 2025. During the break, there will be construction taking place in some areas of the school; as a result, only students participating in winter sports or activities will be allowed inside the building for practices or events coordinated by their coaches and teachers. School resumes on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

Schedule Change Request Forms

Schedule Change Request Forms for Second Semester will be available in the Back Hall Attendance Office and the Freshman Office during the week of December 2-6, 2024. Forms must be turned in by Wednesday, December 11th to be considered for a schedule change. Grade Administrators will review the requests and check available space before making a decision. Please understand that no schedule changes will be granted based on switching lunches or switching teachers (within the same subject area). Additionally, available space is a major consideration, so students need to understand that we will not approve a switch from a class of 20 into a class of 30+ (since 30 per class is our target staffing number). We are not going to decrease a class's size in order to overcrowd a different class.

Dress Code Expectations

School IDs are part of the student dress code. It is required that Students have their School IDs either visible on a lanyard or clip or attached to a backpack when moving around campus. Also, a School ID is required for a student to be able to purchase a lunch in the Cafeteria. School IDs are also required to be able to use a hall pass, check out a library book, or purchase items at the Financial Office or the sales windows for STUCO, DECA, FACS, and Unified Sports. Please help us by using your School ID each day at school.

Baseball hats, cowboy hats, wave caps, bandanas, stocking caps, and other headgear are not allowed as part of the daily dress code.

As it gets colder, please remember that while hoodies are okay to wear to school, the hood should not be worn in the hallways or classrooms. The hood part of the hoody covers up a student's ears and keeps a student with earbuds from being able to participate in learning. Classrooms are hoody, headgear, and earbud free zones.

It is a District Rule that cell phones are not allowed to be used during instructional time. A student should not be using a cell phone during class unless the teacher allows it as part of an instructional activity.
