AAPI Curriculum
This May, we will celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month.
Mr. Chung and his team have created a supplemental curriculum for all classes- every class will work to produce a culminating activity by May 20th, followed by a gallery walk celebration at Gotham on May 21, and a special seminar at Ellery on May 22nd.
This document includes resources, a differentiation guide, and a fantastic final project exemplar (thank you Racheal Hayes!).
Please take some time to review and direct any questions to your supervising AP.
Family surveys and NYCSA accounts
Please continue to reach out to the families of your students to help them complete surveys and NYCSA.account set up.
Queer Student Union
Shavon Gaddy and I had a conversation last week about starting a club for LQBTQ-IA2S+ students- I love the idea of creating safe spaces. Please reach out to Shavon via email if you are interested in helping to champion this program:

Song of the Week
Tunde Adebimpe, frontman for TV on the Radio, just released his debut solo album, "Thee Black Boltz," and the lead single "Magnetic". The album explores themes of the human condition, stress, grief, and finding moments of joy amidst difficult circumstances. I LOVE this song, and the themes Adebimpe is addressing.
