January 2026

Windsor Families,

It was a chilly week at Windsor! It was great to finally have the children go outside for recess today!

Parent teacher conferences are on Monday, February 16th from 8:20am-3:40pm. Conferences are ten minutes in length. The links to sign up will be emailed on Wednesday, February 4th after 10am.

The week of February 2nd, next week, will be Digital Citizenship Week in District 25. Each day the morning announcements will focus on a specific digital citizenship topic to guide students to be safe, ready, and mindful online. Each day will have a dress-up theme that reminds everyone of the focus of the day. Help your child get dressed up and learn about the best ways to be kind, safe, and responsible online! Be sure to check out the spirit week flyer below.

Just a reminder regarding the use of cell phones and/or wearable devices:

The possession and use of cell phones and other electronic devices, including wearables, are subject to the following rules:

  • Elementary students are expected to leave electronics in the “off” position and in their backpacks throughout the school day.

  • A supervising teacher may grant permission for them to be used or if needed during an emergency.

  • They may not be used in any manner that will cause disruption to the educational environment or will otherwise violate student conduct rules.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Mrs. Anastacio and Mrs. Soprano

Notes from the Nurse

Winter air is very dry, causing chapped lips and dry hands. This can be very distracting for students. The health office has Aquaphor and Vaseline to help, but to limit your students' time outside of class, please remember to put some chapstick and lotion in your students' backpacks.

Thank you,

Darlene Carpenter

District 25 Website Update

Calendar Sync Update

Due to our recent website platform change, the process for syncing school and district calendars with your personal calendar is now different. The previous calendar sync from our former website will no longer show the most up-to-date information.

To continue receiving accurate event updates, please disconnect or delete the old calendar link and add the new one…it takes just a minute! A short how-to video is linked below to walk you through the steps.

Windsor Drive Drop and Go

Just a reminder, please pull all of the way up on Windsor Drive to our furthest staff member no matter which door your child enters the building through. We have many staff members outside monitoring our students as they exit cars and walk into the building. This helps to keep our intersection at Windsor and Miner clear.

We appreciate you parking on alternate streets for arrival and dismissal. It helps to alleviate congestion on Windsor Drive. We have had some concerns raised from neighbors that live on the Sunset Terrace cul de sac, due to Windsor families parking in the cul de sac, delivery trucks and those who live there are not able to access their homes during our arrival and pick up. Please only park on one side of the street and not in the actual cul de sac to ensure that our neighbors are able to access their homes at all times. Thank you!

Important Arrival and Dismissal Information

Our staff cannot assist your children in getting out of your vehicle so please have them ready to exit the car with backpacks and other belongings ready to go on the passenger side.

**We will not have staff supervising students on the playground anytime before school starts. Please do not drop off your child early to play on the playground. Students are not permitted to play on the playground before school. We will open doors for student entrance at 8:55. Door supervision begins at 8:50 and ends at 9:05am. If you arrive after 9:05, please bring your child to the front office.
