ILEARN Score Reports
Your child has completed the ILEARN Checkpoint 2 assessment. Based on data and feedback collected from that pilot last year, the assessment and score reports have been updated for this year.
These checkpoints are formative tools that help teachers monitor progress and adjust instruction throughout the year. The flexibility of the ILEARN Checkpoints allows us to assess the skills students are currently learning in the classroom. All student score reports are now available in the Harmony Parent Portal. Please note that these reports are informational only and do not impact student grades. When reviewing the report, we encourage families to focus on the individual skills and standards rather than overall performance levels. In addition, there is information on your child’s projected performance (based on their Checkpoint performance) on the summative ILEARN assessment in April.
You will still receive the full summative ILEARN results following spring testing, as usual. In the meantime, if you have any questions about your child’s performance or progress, please reach out to your child’s teacher(s). We value our partnership with families and appreciate your continued support.
For more information about the ILEARN assessment system, please visit the ILEARN Checkpoints Family Guidance (scroll to find applicable grade(s), or visit the IDOE ILEARN website.

Important Information from our School Nurse
Union Township Middle School is proud to announce it will be working with Project Adam, a national organization named for a young student athlete who died from sudden cardiac arrest during a high school basketball game. Project Adam provides guidance and resources to assist us to develop a cardiac emergency response plan which will include drills for staff. After successfully completing a series of steps, we will be designated a “Heart Safe School”.
During this process we encourage EVERYONE to notice where the five AED’s in are located:
- Outside WHS Front Office
- In the field house/weight room
- Next to pool/concession stand
- Across from the Nurse Office
- UTMS Commons
Scan the code at each AED to get important information that could help save a life.
