Holy Ascension of Christ

When Thou didst fulfill Thy dispensation for our sake, /

uniting things on earth with the heavens, /

Thou didst ascend in glory, O Christ our God, /

departing not hence, but remaining inseparable from us, /

and crying unto them that love Thee: //

I am with you, and no one shall be against you.

(Tone 6)

HOMILY ON THE FEAST OF THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD

Holy Hierarch Innocent (Borisov) of Kherson

Shall we ever behold this glory of our Lord? We shall behold it, for in His last, great prayer, the Lord prayed about this to His Father: I will, He prayed, that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me (Jn. 17:24). The angels appeared to the Apostles after the Lord’s Ascension, witnessing that the Lord will come to all of us on the last day in the same appearance as the Apostles beheld Him ascending into Heaven (cf. Act. 1:2).

Thank you to all who helped prepare, set up, clean-up, and make treats for our Parish Feast!

Our fellowship is important, edifying, and enjoyable!

Glory to God for all things!

We are truly grateful to all for your daily and weekly prayers and labor for our church and community. Thank you to all who helped prepare our church and grounds for our Parish Feast!

If you are interested in helping with projects and chores (large or small), please reach out to our church warden, Sasha Soubotin (el_cawa@hotmail.com), or our head sister, Vicky Selznick (vmselz@icloud.com).
