Dear Reidy Creek Families,

We’re in the home stretch before Spring Break, which begins next Thursday. Please note that Wednesday, April 9th is a minimum day, with dismissal at 12:20 PM. Spring Break will run from Thursday, April 10th through Monday, April 21st. School will resume on Tuesday, April 22nd.

Spring ELOP Highlights

As we wrap up this session of our enrichment classes, we’re excited to share some of the wonderful things our students have been up to! While many of our ELOP classes will continue a bit longer, a few of them had their final sessions this week—complete with fun and exciting culminating activities.

We were thrilled to welcome back Center Stage Productions, who worked with our students to present Frozen Kids. They performed twice during the school day for different grade levels and once in the evening for families. Their acting, singing, and dancing were absolutely amazing—especially after just eight weeks of rehearsals!

Another highlight was our Lovely Leaps dance class, one of our Vendor-Led programs. This class focused on building a love for dance through fun routines and a variety of styles. The session wrapped up with a great performance after school today—our dancers truly shined!

STEM Challenge Day

Coming up this weekend is the STEM Challenge Day, formerly known as Math Field Day. This long-standing tradition gives students a chance to showcase their skills in math and science through exciting challenges.

A group of dedicated fifth graders will be representing our school as they take on complex math problems and engineering tasks using drones, robotics, and circuitry. They’ve been preparing for months, and we are so proud of their hard work! A big thank you to Mr. Brame for supporting them throughout the process. We recognized them this morning, and we’re all cheering them on for Saturday’s event!

Students are very excited about our Glow Party this evening! As a reminder, this event begins at 5:30 and is only open to current Reidy Creek families. The blacktop will be open for parking, and there will be food for purchase. A HUGE thank you to Pamela Gergy, and all our volunteers who helped organize, set up, and clean up this event. We couldn't have done it without you!

It's not too late to get a yearbook! Although the link is no longer active, parents can still send in cash or a check to the main office if you'd like to purchase one. Please make sure that your child's name, grade level, and teacher is on the envelope.

While we are still focused on all the events and activities that are occurring over the next few months, our school has also begun the preliminary planning stages for next year. Since we use current enrollment numbers to help determine the number of classes needed at each grade level, please let your child's teacher (or the front office) know if you plan on not returning to Reidy Creek next year. This greatly helps our planning efforts.

Lunch and Learn Dates and Topics:

4/23/25 - Second Grade - Navigating friendships through SEL

5/21/25 - Fourth Grade - Digital Safety

The parent presentations will all be in the MPR 30 minutes before your child's scheduled lunch time. After the presentation, families will be invited to enjoy lunch in the courtyard with their child. Grade level flyers will be sent home closer to each event.
