FULTON SHEEN BEATIFICATION
What a day to remember!
Last Thursday, our Lancers had the incredible opportunity to witness history as Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen was declared Blessed!
For those who made the trip to St. Louis, it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience to gather with thousands of Catholics and witness this beautiful moment in the life of our Church. And there was certainly no missing our Lancers and Decatur Catholic friends in the crowd! Our matching blue Fulton Sheen T-shirts created quite the “sea of blue” and made our group easy to spot while showing our Catholic pride and excitement for this historic occasion!
Our students who were unable to make the trip celebrated right here at OLOL, making this a special day for our entire Lancer family.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this incredible opportunity possible, especially to Fr. Delano for reserving our tickets, and to Mrs. Shumaker, and her son, Mr. Shumaker, for the time and planning they put into making this experience a reality for our students. We are beyond grateful!
Our Lancers were united in faith on this historic day. May Blessed Fulton J. Sheen inspire us to live our faith and continue to be the light of the world!
Blessed Fulton J. Sheen, pray for us!
