Veterans Day Program Veterans Day Program

On Wednesday, November 11th, Pike Elementary will come together to recognize Veterans Day by honoring the veterans in our Pike families and community. This special celebration provides an opportunity for our students to learn about the meaning of Veterans Day while showing their gratitude and respect for the men and women who have served our country.

To help us prepare for this event, please let us know if a veteran from your family who has served or is currently serving in any branch of the United States Armed Forces would be interested in attending our celebration. The ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m.

We will also be creating a special slideshow featuring veterans from our Pike families. Veterans do not need to attend the ceremony to be included in the slideshow. If you would like us to include a photo of a veteran in your family, please complete the attached Google Form.

We are excited to share this meaningful day with our students and recognize the service, dedication, and sacrifices of the veterans who are part of our Pike community.

Thank you for helping us honor the heroes in our families and community!

Give THANKS to a SPECIAL staff member!

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for the incredible staff at Pike Elementary. Each day, our teachers and staff pour their hearts into creating a learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired. Their dedication, passion, and hard work make a lasting difference for our students and families.

We invite you to join us in showing appreciation by choosing a staff member to thank. Whether it’s a simple “thank you” or a heartfelt note, your words can brighten someone’s day and remind them how valued they truly are. Let’s fill our halls with messages of gratitude and celebrate the amazing people who make Pike such a special place!

Give THANKS to a SPECIAL staff member!

Water Bottles for Lunch

If your child would prefer to drink water instead of milk during lunch, please send them to school with a water bottle. Milk will still be available as usual, but this gives kids who'd rather have water another option.

Due to the Greater Clark County Schools Wellness Policy:

Soft drinks and energy drinks are not allowed in the school cafeteria. If your child prefers a beverage other than milk or juice, they may bring a pre-filled water bottle with them to the cafeteria.

Be a Mystery Reader in your child's classroom! Be a Mystery Reader in your child's classroom!

A "Mystery Reader" is a fun classroom tradition where a parent volunteers to visit their child's class and read aloud, without the child knowing in advance who it will be! On your scheduled day, simply bring 2 or 3 of your favorite children's books and surprise your child by showing up to read to the whole class. It's a wonderful, low-commitment way to be part of your child's school day and share a special moment with them in front of their classmates. To get involved, sign up using your child's teacher's link below, or reach out to the teacher directly to find a date that works for you.
