Welcome to PPCS 2025-2026!
Helping PPCS Families in Need
Thank you so much to all the families who donated gift cards for our most economically challenged families!! The state of Idaho has released or will release partial Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP payments for November. Through the generous donations of grocery gift cards from our families, we have been able to reduce stress and financial challenge for a number of families. We'll continue to provide gift cards to families while we have them, assisting those with the greatest need and hopefully providing assistance through the holidays.
If you would like to assist a PPCS family experiencing financial hardship, consider donating a grocery store gift card. You can request 'Family Friendly' gift cards at WinCo which can't be used for the purchase of tobacco or alcohol. Gift cards can be dropped off at the office to be given to families anonymously. These donations are made to a family, not to the school. We don't track the card donors, so are unable to send thank you's, and they are not eligible for a tax receipt. Please know that families express abundant gratitude for the kindness of their fellow PPCS families, when they receive a grocery gift card. Thank you for being CREW!

Fill the Flat Update!
We’re so close! We still need to raise $200 to reach our goal of providing enough native plants for every PPCS student to plant this fall.
Each $2 plug helps our students bring native habitat to life on the school grounds — just 100 more plants will get us there!
How to Help:
Donate or Sponsor: We’re seeking donations and sponsors to help us fill the flat! Every contribution—large or small—makes a difference.
Give Online: Donate through PPCS paypal. Be sure to select “School Building / Landscaping.”
Prefer to pledge directly or join the Landscape Committee? Drop off a check at the office or contact Laura Heinse at lheinse@palouseprairieschool.org
Let’s fill this flat and give every student a native plant to call their own!
Wellness Committee Survey
We're planning fun, educational activities for our students and families — and we want your input!
The Wellness Committee is planning educational activities for our students and families throughout the year. To help guide our planning, we kindly ask you to take a few minutes to complete the following survey. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and appreciated, and we welcome any additional ideas you’d like to share. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at tsnodgrass@palouseprairieschool.org

Important Reminders - Please Read!
Attendance/Dismissal
Please remember that all communication regarding student attendance and dismissal plan changes need to come to the front office. We ask that parents please email office@palouseprairieschool.org or call the office at (208) 882-3684 and we will relay information to teachers. In addition to the front office, if you would like to include your child's teacher when emailing, you are welcome to do so. Please refrain from texting teachers about attendance and dismissal issues. For a quick and easy way to report absences and late arrivals you can use Safe Arrival in the School Messenger App. To opt in to School Messenger, text "Y" or "YES" to 67587, or scan the QR code.
Snacks
Please send your child to school with a snack daily. We can provide snacks to students with a genuine need, but our supplies are limited.
Lunch
PPCS gets lunch from Moscow School District. Students make a lunch choice every morning when attendance is taken. Orders are called in from the office to MSD daily at 9AM. If your student will be late and will need a school lunch, please contact the front office by email or phone, (208) 882-3684, before 9AM so we can include it with our daily order.
If your student will be off campus for fieldwork or celebration of learning, their classroom teacher will email families asking for sack lunch orders. If your student needs a lunch for an Adventure Friday trip, you can sign them up through the link in the Adventure information document sent out by Adventure co-lead David Herbold.
Free and Reduced Lunch Applications
You can fill out our free and reduced lunch applications at any point in the year. If your income has changed, or if you aren't sure if you qualify, please fill out the Free and Reduced Lunch Application on our website. You can also contact the office for an application.
